Hi all, just joined but I’m on week 6 run 2 of couch 25k. I managed the 20 minute run last week and was super proud of myself. So far only running on the treadmill but will be venturing out soon.
Hope you are all enjoying the journey x

Big congratulations on getting through the jump to week 6. That shows huge determination. Keep us informed on your final weeks and we’ll see you into a world of running opportunities 😁🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♂️
Welcome. Hope it all continues to go smoothly. There are some very useful pinned posts (permanently there) that are good to read - especially one from IannodaTruffe about FAQs. All the best with your running. 👍👏🏼
We are trying really hard to get the post, put together by Ianndodatruffe into higher profile as it is intended to be read... ( the first link anyway, before anyone begins the plan. But HU have ideas about the way things are set out by the tech wizards!
Welcome ! What kept you ? 😄
Hiya...this is a really great forum. I found it in week 7 and stayed : )
Let us know how your runs go
Well done you.. do check this post out, even though you are on Week 6
Congratulations for completing the 20mins, it’s a great feeling isn’t it. 👍🏃♀️
Hi I’m a newbie too and at exactly the same point as you. It’s a great programme and a wonderful supportive forum. It’s tough taking up running at 60 and hopefully one day I’ll run rather than shuffle! Not exactly looking forward to 25 minutes today though!
Hi,
Well done so far! Inspiring to read your post!
I'm also new to running (not done it since primary school!), also just turned 60, have never done & always hated all sport, & am at the same stage as you. Week 6 run 2 just completed! I'm just about shuffling, definitely nothing resembling a jog or a run but am also amazed to have got this far & to want to continue.!
So keep up the good work! Very inspiring.
You too! Great to know we are not alone😁. Here’s to keeping the aches and pains at bay and making it to week 9 🤞
I'm soon to be 60. Great to hear there's more of us doing this for the first time.
The forum is so supportive and keeps me going knowing we can do this! Just completed W7R1..what..running for 25 minutes without stopping...never thought this could happen!! 😀
