Week 3 Run 1

Really pleased I got up and straight out for the run this morning as the sun was shining with a nice cooling breeze - so different from the past few days.

I found the first 3 minutes session more difficult than the last one but keep going and competed as per the plan. Really pleased I did - looking forward to the next run.

Keep going those on Week 1 and 2 - it’s worth it as you will feel improvement in stamina.

Well done. It's great to feel the plan working. In week 1 you are astonished at how long 90s can be and by week 3 you've doubled it. Keep going, you've got this.

Well done you... slow and steady and begin to up your strength and stamina work on some of your rest days too, as you move on..

Have you checked out our post for Newbies... ? I know you are on Week 3, but there is some great advice there too.

Thanks so much for this - but could you clarify what you mean by “work on rest days” - does that mean do something other than running. I don’t do anything apart from my 10k steps on rest day.

Eek...Strength and stamina and non impact exercise...not on all rest days but some. Yoga.. Pilates..swimming

Cycling...housework..gardening..and walking too..Check out the Strength and Flex forum..great ideas there.

Well done. I have to admit that running is the last thing on my mind (well, the actual action) when I get up! You wait, it won’t be long before you are running 25 minutes! 😁

Keep the positivity going - take it easy - slow and steady - enjoy the outdoors and fresh air. Embrace the fact that you are doing something for you 😊 Good luck and enjoy 👍🏻
