I've been a lurker on this site for a while, I really enjoy reading about other people's progress it inspires me to keep going with the program.
Today I wanted to actually write a post. it was run 1 of week 3 for me today and i had been dreading the 3 minute run for days....but it was surprisingly ok, I may have only been going at a snail's pace but I did it! The fact that there's only 4 runs in this section of the program made the time go so much quicker than normal. I still don't feel like a 'runner' but i'm gaining confidence with every run and I'm really enjoying couch to 5k so far!

It's a great program isn't it. Grats on your first blog post and well done for getting this far. Keep plodding along :). I'm a snail myself, I figure speed will come later.
Good for you, and don't be shy, we're here to help you along the way, with a few giggles if required
You will soon become aware that the programme is so well thought out, that providing you complete one a week, dear Laura sees to it that you will be able to go on to the next. Yes, you will have some worries about increasing run times, but, honestly, they are all in your head!
And at the risk of replicating Mysticalmaid's comment (and many others) go as slowly as you like... At the moment you are developing stamina/staying power, so speed doesn't really matter. I believe several folk graduate on the 30 minute runs and go on to reach the 5 kms at a later date. Enjoy your challenge, I'll be following your progress. Good luck, Linda x
Thank you for your kind words! I am loving the programme so far and it's nice to talk to people who have experienced the same thing i'm currently going through.
I am on W8 and have just written how i am dreading that but i remember being at week 3 and dreading those runs and cannot believe I have go this far. Believe me if I can do i am sure you can do it. I found i just stuck to the programme and was ready to move on each time. Laura tells me so!!!!! best of luck
