I completed it this morning. Felt a lot better than week 1!!

I am doing this on a treadmill at the gym. Has anyone completed this on a treadmill and then found it more difficult to run on the road once complete?

I completed on treadmill, with an incline of 1.5. I will venture outside once the pollen count drops - slightly nervous, but I figure that if I take it slower outside than on the treadmill until I get used to it, or do some run-walk intervals, I should be able to build up to my treadmill speed/distance eventually

Hi,

I completed w2r1 last night, also on the treadmill. I have read that it's best to run with a slight incline if doing it on the treadmill, but I guess it depends on your fitness. I have set mine on an incline for the walking sections but run on flat.

Outdoors will always prove more of a challenge as you have hills, uneven surfaces, wind, heat, people to dodge lol!

I intend to complete the whole programme on the treadmill and venture outside after that.

Good luck!

I find my pace better outside and was surprised to find I was actually faster outside. I graduated by doing a mixture of both because of the weather but much preferred outside 😊

I doff my cap to anyone who can complete this on a treadmill... you’re already running longer than I can manage, I have a low boredom threshold! Outdoor running is different and it may take a few runs to get used to pacing yourself, dealing with hills etc. During this time you may not be able to run as long, and that’s normal. It can be worked on just like you’ll have done on the plan getting to graduation.

For now, don’t worry about it... it’s feeling better already so that fitness level is rising nicely and that is what this is all about. Happy running.
