Well, I did it, kind of 😕

It’s extremely wet & slippery underfoot outside so I did it indoors (not on a treadmill) because my balance is poor & I wasn’t confident enough to go out... I managed to walk & jog pretty much as I should have, I raised my heart rate & was a little out of puff. But I don’t know if it counts?

Better than nothing, I suppose 😉👍🏼

Some people have done the entire programme in their front rooms and while it may work on cardio, it is unlikely to simulate running outdoors unless you have enough space to stride as you would outdoors.

But as you say, better than nothing.

Well done.

Thanks. Only because I’m so cautious about slipping. Poor balance, dodgy knees-not much going for me! 😄

Running definitely improves balance.

The only run you fail is the run you don’t go for ! Completely sympathise - it’s skating, not running, here !

We are proud of you. Of course it counts. It's getting over the psychological barrier of thinking there is something stopping you. So well done you for jogging indoors. Do you have a friend that you could walk with outside - even just walking and not jogging? The fresh air is part of the positive experience, and in the UK we all suffer from deficient sunlight. My doctor said if I were to spend an hour a day outside, every day, I would probably not need to take Vitamin D supplements.

Thank you for the support!

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s anyone that could go with me. My husband goes jogging but I think he would want to run ahead & forget that I was actually following a programme ...😕

I suspect you’re right about the vitamin D; I take supplements, and even when I go to my second home in Malta every 3-4 months I wear so much SPF50 that the UV rays have no chance! I do, however take as many long walks as possible.

One of the (very few) perks to retirement!

Thank you again 😉👍🏼
