W2r1 tomorrow

Susanwalsh070870 profile image

Week 1 completed yesterday and can’t quite believe I’ve done it, and didn’t quit! Alarm set for 6am to get in the gym to start week 2,, nervous but also excited 😊. Never felt positive at all about jogging, only daring to do on the treadmill at the moment. Hoping will be confident soon to go outside 😬, think I’m a long way off that though. Anyone else just stuck to the treadmill?

Well done - I found week 1 the toughest of the lot. Never run on a treadmill but I know what you mean about not wanting to be seen - it was week 6 before I dared to wear shorts! Good luck and keep going!

Well don’t on completing the dreaded W1! You made it through, so you can do the rest!

I’ve only ever run outside as I take my dog. It’s not scary, and I like being nosy and watching other people run past me (one day I’ll run past them!) 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Have fun, and keep us all up to date with your progress! 👍🏻😀

Thankyou,, yeah I want to take my dog too, he needs the exercises too! Maybe after week 3/4 I’ll feel more confident.... when it’s dark! 😬

Thankyou 😊

Well done. Keep it up. If it's treadmill or road it's still running. Keep smiling. 😀

Well done. I only ran outside.

Lots of people worry about being seen running. Honestly most people don’t notice us and most of those who do are quietly impressed or actively supportive.

Shades, a hat, earphones and it is your solo universe.

All that said, I’m impressed you are happy going to a gym - I’m terrified of the thought.

I’ve just done w2r1 - it’s abit warm outside for it but I did it! I’m running outdoors as it keeps me interested!!! I never thought I’d be so happy to run! It’s funny isn’t it!?

Ps I run outdoor but don’t want to be seen so I pull my hair back and pop on a cap... it makes me feel that people can’t see me.. I know they can but it my head it makes me happy.. try it!

Well done Susanwalsh! That’s brilliant and it gets better too! Lots of people do the whole programme on the treadmill, so you’ve got options. Enjoy W2! ❤️

Maybe when I get home, currently in China and 32 degrees and awfully humid, I think when I get to weeks 3-4 I’ll venture out with the dogs 🐕
