W3R1 Done

So, bank holiday or not, the schedule continues! Week 3 run 1, I dreaded this run first time round, how did the people who devised C25K expect people to go from 9 seconds of running to 180 seconds, I mean, it's not possible, is it?

I learnt then that it wasn't that bad and I actually enjoyed the feeling of completing that little milestone, it actually got me thinking about W5 R3, if the same people had thought that W3 was possible then they must also thing that W5 R3 was too.

Check back through my posts, you'll see that I had to know so I ran it a day early (I didn't skip my rest day as I normally run Monday, Wednesday and Friday to allow for slight changes due to work, etc.).

Anyway, I digress, back to today, my Garmin was playing up a little, it didn't connect to the HRM and the wrist pulse is no where near as accurate for exercise.

The run went fine, my weekly workout intensity is out for the week now but I'll make that up, the calorie usage is also out as it didn't track my HR to determine the effort, etc but I never use any of the extra calories earned through exercise (a really bad habit to do as you'll start to think you can exercise off what you eat!).

Happy running everyone.

Glad you had a good run:)

Thanks, it's good to be back, to be honest, I was in a quite dark place after being so used to just getting up and going for a jog BUT not any more, it's amazing how being able to waddle again clears the mind and helps to brighten up your life :)

Just take it slow and steady, first time round I tried to keep the short run pace on the longer runs, @Oldfloss told me secret, come closer and I'll whisper it to you, ready?

Slow and steady, speed doesn't matter at the minute.

I listened to this advice and took it to heart, at times I wasn't moving much faster that a fast walk but I completed every run.

Good luck, you'll smash it.

Not what you're looking for?
