W6R2 failure 🙁

CrochetingScallywag profile image

I couldn't finish the second 10 minute run i ended up walking the last 3 minutes i really didn't have it in me. Honestly think it would have been easier without the walking period in the middle. Not sure if maybe i should repeat this one before moving on. Really disappointed in myself 😥

Ahh no crocheting!! it doesn't sound like it was your day to run! some days are just like that. you did 17 mins running today! that's a lot!!! could you have done that 7 weeks ago? That's not a disappointing effort at all!

Week 6 is a tough week - I chaffed against the intervals too. Michael and I really fell out in week 6, I was not happy to hear his voice in my ears at all. but I think it's important for you to take stock of what you have achieved so far! Repeat this run, so that you know you can do it and then you'll be into the lovely long runs. :D :D

Woah! I’d be bloody proud of myself if I was you. A few short weeks ago 60 seconds was a struggle. Look at what you did there... 600 seconds running, a brisk walk and then another 420... that’s a huge progression from run 1. Well done, and yeah, without the walk you did it in W5R3. These intervals are tricky, but you’ll get it next time out... slow and steady into the first 10. Failure? No, you found a run that kicked your butt... it made you stronger as it did, and you’ll come back and beat it, that’s how winners are made.

Why disappointed CS? Look what you’ve achieved since W1!! Some runs are more equal than others. Chalk it up as a practice run. Next time you know what to expect & you’ll smash it👍🏻

Not Failure . Every run is a step along to the next.

You didn't stay home on the couch you got your kit on and got out there. Hurrah for you and your motivation 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Next run coming up, head up and give it your best. You will do it ! 👍🏼

I found that really hard as well. I also ended up walking more too, although I did the total time by adding it on the end. I decided to just put it down to a hard run and to just keep going by doing the 3rd run. Found the 25 mins tough, but easier than stopping in the middle and felt amazing for managing it.

Think we also give ourselves a hard time when it doesn't go to plan, but we are all doing an amazing job for getting up and doing C25K!!

Good luck x

Be very very proud of yourself! This run really can be a banana skin, and knocked me out at the half way point 2 years ago. It may feel like it at the time, but being 3 minutes short is nothing and you will smash it next time around! Just find your happy pace and take it steady. Keep at it and when you beat this one, you will feel on top of the world! 😊

Oh please don't be disappointed in yourself!! It is a HORRIBLE run! (As well as w6r1 for me!) I thought that was the end of c25k for me! I also walked part of it and then came w6r3 which is continuous running and i aced it. Go on and you'll see. I read a lot of posts and advice and plucked up the courage to go out again. You will have no problem, trust us!

I wouldn't worry about it - W6 D1 is one of the hardest runs and W6D2 isn't much better - it messes with your head! The fact that you are saying it would have been easier not to walk means the programme has worked!! I would call that run a success! Very well done!
