W6R2 Fail!!!

First failed run!!!! Got to about 7 and a half mins on the second 10 min run and just couldn’t put one foot in front of the other... had to go back to walking. I’m proper gutted as it’s the first one I’ve not been able to complete...

On the plus side, I’ve still been out and done a lot of running. More than I’ve done before I started this.

But I’m really annoyed with myself. Will try it again on Thursday, see if I can do better...

Not a fail, you still ran BenderRodriquez. This was my last run. I just took it really slow (l am an old lady after all 😜)you’ll be fine next time. Good luck 👍🏻

That's okay - those wk6 runs catch lots of people out. You say yourself you went out and did a lot of running. How would you have felt about today's run a few weeks back. Take a proper rest and you will be fine next time. Good luck and remember to take it slow.

This is true. A few weeks ago, I’d have passed out half way round... 😜 the annoyance comes from seeing what this plan is doing for me. And I want to complete it. Patience is the key.

I don’t think we accept the f word on this forum!

You ran and we all have bad days. You’ll be fine!. Keep slow and steady.

It's a real pain when that happens. I sure it has happened to a lot of us. It'll most likely be fine on Thursday. Keeping an open mind, a slow pace with a bit of "I can do this" going through your head will get you there. And if you are going uphill try a more downhill route or flatter one. Even a slight but long slope can make a hell of difference. You can always go back to it when you are stronger and want to up your fitness.

Don't let one setback disillusion you. Think of all the successes you achieved so far. You will crack it and it doesn't matter what happens along the way.
