W2R2 in the bag!!!

Omg....I can't believe that I actually completed W2R2 without collapsing!!

Investing in proper running shoes has definitely helped...shin-splits were not half as bad as last week!!!

And "arch-pain" was mainly in my left foot....as my gait analysis identified that I overpronate slightly in my left foot....so guessing this will also become better as my "feet" get used to the idea of running!!!

(1 week ago....I didn't even know the word "overpronate" existed....check me out using "runner's lingo!!!!! Lol!!!) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But....all in all....went much better than I expected....in the heat too.....!!!

(Went out later than I had originally planned....after yesterday's match made sure I couldn't go for my scheduled evening run.....#goengland #itscominghome woooo!!!)πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

Feeling rather chuffed right now as I eat my banana and sip my water.....

#thiscouldgetaddictive!!!!πŸ˜‰

Stay hydrated peeps!!!! It's hot hot hot out there....but together we can do this!!!

It is addictive and it sounds like you are well on the way to being hooked, the good news is this addiction is not illegal, doesn't have to cost a lot of money and is definitely good for you, welcome to RA (Runners Anonymous copyright Jay66UK

Anything addictive that is cheap and results in weight loss and losing inches is legal in my book ....!!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I look forward to be being a real "running junkie"....lol!!! πŸ˜‰

You may find you don't lose weight simply by running, but you are likely to lose inches, so take those all important measurements now so that you can see how things change, look forward to seeing how you progress over the next few weeks

One more thing that I am sure helped me is that the further I got into C25K, the stronger I got mentally, I too have been a comfort eater when stressed but I believe the improved mental resilience carried across and helped me to reduce the comfort foods, a real win-win.

Desperately need to build on mental strength and stamina......

I have already found that being focussed on C25k does help in reducing/coping better with stress.....

Thank you for sharing your insights.....I, for one, am finding them amazingly useful, practical and empowering.

22 pairs of trainers......wow!!!!

I don't know about other runners but I googled places next to me where I could get a free gait analysis and went with "Runners Need" - small shop, not much choice....I opted for bright orange Asics trainers (after trying a few brands).

Hope this helps!!
