Week 6 Run 3

I’ve only just ran for 25 minutes. I did it, I bloody did it 3K in 25 minutes. That was amazing. Pace 8.16 ( what ever that means) first 5 minutes legs felt like iron. Then I settled down to a nice rhythm. Breathing felt good, Michael Jackson ‘Bad’ blasting away. Laura giving me encouragement, mind in a happy place, one foot in front of the other , telling myself over and over ‘you’ve got this’. 20 minutes in and I’m feeling amazing, adrenaline pumping through my body. 5 minutes to go and I’m shouting push, push, push, then I hear the most amazing words‘ you have just ran for 25 minutes, congratulations you are officially a runner. ‘Slow down to walking pace’

This is what the training is all about. You’ve got this far trust the program. Nice and slow take your mind to a happy place, enjoy the scenery and put one foot in front of the other. Good luck

Congratulations to you 'Running59' for completing your first non-stop 25-minute run, that pace 8.16 is what is says your pace is 8.16 for 1 kilometre 8 minutes 16 seconds on average for a kilometre, that would work out if you were running a 5k to be a little over 40 minutes. Yes indeed, you are officially a runner.
