Time to get fit!!! Oh boy!! Definitely thought about stopping multiple times and it was only the first run. Any tips for a newbie/anyone just started to?

Well done! You got the first one done! If you are struggling just go a bit slower you can do it! 😃

Welcome. As everyone will say, go slow. No, really.

Enjoy noticing your progress as you run further than you can imagine right now - it’s an excellent programme.

I'm with the others: go slow!

I finished W3R3 yesterday and already notice such a difference in stamina and general well-being. It's definitely worth sticking with this programme.

Main tips from me: schedule your runs into your routine, promise yourself a treat on completion - no matter how small or of what kind (edible/wearable/sensory/etc.) - and keep at it. You may well soon find you won't need a treat, as feeling great is a treat in itself!

I almost got up and went for another run this morning - unheard of 3 weeks ago. :-)

You need to learn a new dance. It’s called the slow step. It goes: slow, slow, slow slow slow. 🐌

Apart from that follow the program. Enjoy. Post on here for encouragement, support, advice and banter. Good luck! 😀

My music running mix is titled ‘plodding songs’ 😂. The clue to success for me is plodding x

Well done on getting out there :-) It's all been said, be kind to yourself, take it slow, music you love and just keep going. The plan is great. You can do it.

Slow down and enjoy!

One thing I have learnt recently is if I slow down I enjoy it!

Am on week 8 and finally understanding this programme is about endurance over time and not speed, completing the times is important and if that means going at snails pace then so be it, this is what builds up your muscles and gets you ready for the next run, trust the programme it’s extremely cleverly designed to push you but only to achievable goals.

And enjoy. Feel proud! 😃

Honestly week one was more of a struggle than now... not easy at all but you just learn that you can💪🏼 so you do😃 enjoy!

The key is to complete the runs, not the speed, I started the programme 2 months ago and would never have believed that I would be able to run for 30 minutes and more, but I can! And don't be afraid to ask questions, I have been given lots of help and lots of support, enjoy the ride!

Agree with everyone slow is the key and a lot of self belief. Plus music .and a running buddy. I have 2 more runs to go . Breathing gets easier after about 3 weeks for me. Good luck .

So just in week 2 here and I have never run but some weird brain thing happens and now I can’t wait to run the next one. BUT I was running too fast and hurt a lot so I did week one twice. I wouldn’t have had too if I had the right music which keeps me slow. Spotify has running music with bpm and I am running to the slowest 130. Wish I found this earlier as would be on week three now!

Just looked up the 130 bpm on Spotify, super helpful, thanks😃
