So week 5 run 1...... 3 x 5 min runs. Scary....

Eat early check. Hydrate early check. Stretch check and wait for a cool part of the day (8pm). So cannot put it off any longer.

5 min warm as normal. Laura telling me this is psychological not physical. Ok ok....

Run 1. Start slow. Funny legs feel really good not like concrete posts. 2 mins in feel good. Singing tell it to my heart by Taylor Dafne.. strange for a 57 year old bloke but hey thanks Spotify.. run 1 done. oooh feel quite good. Ok walk.....

Run two still feeling good. Music is still strange.. Singing communards now. If I can sing I'm not pushing too hard. Laura says stop.. hang on this feels weird I'm feeling ok. Yes breathing hard. Yes legs are pumping and I'm evidently working hard. Go with it. Keep walking.

Run three just past halfway feeling pumped now as I know I'm gonna do this. Felt great as Laura said stop so the thought comes .. can you go further.. Just a little try.

I've just run 2 x 5 mins and 1 x 7 mins without stopping. I'm so so thrilled.

Did a long warm down but I'm so so happy. IT DOES ALL COME TOGETHER .... sometimes

Run safe lovelies.....

Kerry

Hey Dudders61 you were right. W5r1 done and no problems. Thought of you on the second 5 mins when eminem sang lose yourself and I started to sing along! Hall and oaks man eater took me through the last run. OMG it went so well. I seemed to recover quickly to. No gasping for breath. I'm looking forward to r2 on Thursday. Good luck with yours. I will be watching for you. P x
