Was planning to run this evening because I finished work late last night and woke up this morning feeling like a slug and very hungry but as the hours progressed, I was becoming more and more anxious.
So on with my running attire and over to my running spot. All the while telling myself "you can do this Donna, you can and will do this."
1st 12 minutes were the hardest I would say, if it wasn't for will power, my legs would've stopped moving automatically but then all of a sudden I was actually running, ok jogging at a nice and comfortable pace. Last few minutes got harder again but I did it.
I feel extra good aswell today because this is a large area that I run around. (They do a 5k run here on Saturdays). Feeling proud because I actually was able to run a full lap of this area. Almost a lap and a half to be exact. So I'm super happy right now. 😊
Oh how I love these longer runs.
Bring it on Week 6 on Friday.
P.s. I did cry Sallenson but I think it was more down to taking my Hayfever tablet too late. Lol. Think my tears will flow when we graduate.
U left me speechless! Again. Whatever is driving you around this stuff in what to my eyes looks like effortless ease - Can I have some too?
Brilliant brilliant lovely lady!!
Everyone should cry at least once during this whole saga. I'm just getting in there early and often to make up for all those Stiff Upper Lip types (you know who you are....) who are above vulgar shows of emotion.
U did fab girl!! That podium is hugging you proper!!
Not sure where my motivation comes from but one thing for sure is that I'm tired of my tummy. It's getting smaller that's for sure, so maybe sometime in the future I won't have to fuss about my muffin top baby pouch belly anymore. Obviously diet will help with that too but I'm seeing good improvements with the running alone.
I just thoroughly enjoy this programme. And the nearer it comes to ending is when I get emotional. Happened before when I was at the end of week 8 and only had 3 runs left. Unfortunately didn't get any further but I intend this time.
People like you help too. Always positive words of encouragement. The thought of being able to post your success helps when the going gets tough. Well to me anyway.x
