After doing week 6 run 2 while not being 100% after having flu, the rest period was increased, I was going to do this run on Sunday but still didn't feel 100%.
Woke this morning, today HAD to be the day, I really wanted to get this run done and out of the way.
I gave myself 30 minutes to wake up before heading downstairs to the treadmill, during which time I sneezed at least twice but I was feeling as close to 100% as I normally do.
I headed downstairs, asked Alexa to turn the treadmill on and put on the running gear. I loaded Spotify and set that playing, I started the treadmill and the treadmill profile on my Garmin and set off on a short walk.
After a minute or two I fired up the C25K app and hit go on the run.
25 minutes, slow and steady, belly breathing to help control my heart rate and focusing on my running form.
Then I had 60 seconds left, so I upped the speed, 30 seconds left, so I upped it to my 'normal' outdoor running pace and then the run was over.
That's week 6 done and that leaves me 9 runs before I complete the program (again), I already have my plan for when I start running outside again, with Mrs LeeU not running it means I'm going to have to learn to pace myself again.
Happy running everyone.

I have an Amazon device in every room, except the toilets/bathroom, I use smart plugs to turn things on and off when not in use to reduce items either on or on standby.
Also comes in very handy when I go on holiday, I can program automations to turn lights on/off, turn TVs on/off, etc, to make it look like someone is at home.
My Blink cameras are also connected to Alexa, and Homeassistant, that way I can control a lot of the house remotely and the cameras can be activated either on a schedule (which is the normal way I do it) or via voice command.
From one dashboard on the computer I can see solar generation, battery charge status, household power draw, camera status, etc.
On the Garmin 745 you can 'Save and Calibrate', that way you can add in the distance your treadmill is showing.
I've done this twice with my treadmill, it tends to stay pretty much bang on after the calibration, etc, I only did it the second time as I increased my speed.
Yeah my Forerunner 45 is diabolical when it comes to treadmill calibration, so I am tempted to go with your suggestion...Just not sure if I use the treadmill enough to justify it. Well at least I have a recommended bit of kit if I decide I'm gonna go for it...Cheers
I must admit, the first time I looked at the C25K program, it would have been around 2013, I think, I looked at the runs on the website and saw week 5 r3 and thought there would be no chance of ever actually doing that BUT I've completed the program about 3-4 times so I know it can be done, and more.
The good thing about week 6 and 7 is that when you finish week 6 you KNOW you can do week 7 too, since it's the same run.
Good luck with the rest of the program, only 9 more runs left and you know you can do 3 of them already.
You can do it, just go slow and steady, finishing the run is more important than going fast, speed will come (if you want it to).
