W8R1 still plodding along

For the first time since starting the C25K programme, I had two rest days. Bank holiday was obviously one reason but also hubby's away next weekend from Friday, and I've got a busy day on Friday (promotion interview 😲) so Tuesday and Thursday suited us better!

Today was the first 28 inure run so an increase of three minutes - it's odd to think back to previous weeks and when I wasn't sure if I could manage a 30 second increase and here I am not really that phased by three extra minutes!

After the bank holiday, the beach was quite full of litter and abandoned single use bbqs etc (although I will praise the Bournemouth seafront team for doing a Stirling effort of cleaning up early in the morning) - this meant that little Aura was in doggy heaven, sniffing out all the bbq sites and trying to find a abandoned tasty but sandy morsels. The upshot of this was that hubby hung back to make sure she didn't eat anything too horrific and I did the majority of the run alone!

I changed my music choice today and went for my favourite musical sound track of all time - Starlight Express! Internally singing along definitely helped the time go quicker and as always, after the halfway point, the time flew!

So five runs left before I'm programme free and I must admit, I'm quite liking the sense of achievement and even the early starts, they do seem to be quite good at settling my day up well!

Well done you, hubby and Aura have done so incredibly well and you are looking so fit and healthy. I have really enjoyed seeing your progress through this process. Im just starting week 7 tomorrow so I always like to see how your runs a bit ahead of me are going
