Last night i decided I couldn't wait to do Run2 so skipped my rest day and gave it a go. Managed to complete it, which feels me with enthusiasm about the coming weeks. My breathing is definitely improving, as is my recovery rate. Looking forward to Run3 but definitely having a days rest first. Still went for a brisk 2k walk today just to get my heart rate going, but no running. Looking forward to Run3 tomorrow.

I get how you feel, I too have missed rest days but then I read somewhere on here why they are so important as you will be getting micro tears which if not rested will cause issues as you progress, amongst other reasons. So I think I’d rather have rest days and not lose all my hard work by getting an injury then having to rest and then start at the beginning again.

Thanks for the heads up. Rest days back on the agenda. I'll just go for a brisk walk on my "Rest days". Thanks again.

Read the guide to the programme (under FAQs) if you haven’t already to check out issues like this

Never, ever miss rest days... however good you feel... they are at this stage non negotiable... rest days are for non impact exercise...lots to choose from.... the muscles need time to recover and even a micro tear can put you on the IC...

You got away with it.... this time:)

No more missing rest days...I promise. Although I am completing this 9 week challenge on a cross trainer due to a severe leg problem which means I can only do non impact activities. But I get your point. Thankyou.
