Positive Mental Attitude!!

As I said elsewhere, today was W5R2 - 2 x 8 min runs. Not helped by my alarm going off and finding it still dark outside, biting wind, rain, sleet, all the rest, but that just made me feel more defiant.

Today has given me a lot of confidence. I wasn't entirely convinced I would be able to do it and had sort of mentally prepared myself for that but I did it. So whereas yesterday, i dreaded the idea of the 20 minute Run3, I am now looking forward to the challenge and don't see why I can't do it. Bring on Friday!!

Another useful side effect is that I'm finding all sorts of new roads and shortcuts near my house that I never knew were there!! I'm learning a lot of things about my area. :)

Well done. It is great to hear how others get on each run especially as I am about to start week 5 on Friday. Its great finding new routes where you live. I am finding all sorts of footpaths nearby. Keep up the good work and keep posting as it is really motivating!

the 20 minutes was a turning point for me too. When you mind feels like giving in, it simply can't argue with "well i've already done 20 (25)(28)(30) etc.. so I can sure match it or do a few minutes more than that this time ;-)

Well done ! I'm at about the same spot in the program. And yes I'm looking forward to the 20 min run as well !

Well done on your journey so far, I completed w5r3 this morning and I feel amazing, 20 minutes may not seem much to some but believe me its an achievement worth smiling about.

Face the challenge, pace yourself and you'll do great.
