I have to admit first thing this morning I was coming up with various excuses why I shouldn’t run today...I think my legs are still aching 🤔 I think I’m a bit wheeze with my asthma 🤔 I don’t think I can do it 🤔 but I knew deep down they were just excuses and headed out.
I started off slow and steady and soon found myself settling into a nice rhythm. It was a very muddy run and I lost my trainers twice in the squelching mud which to be honest just made me chuckle. At the half way point I made a conscious effort to take in the scenery and really enjoy my run. My music cut out about this time too but I decided rather than fiddling around with my phone to just concentrate on my breathing and foot placement. When Sarah said I had run 20mins with just 5mins to go I was shocked and ran the last 5mins with a big grin on my face. The last 60 seconds I picked up the pace and afterwards felt absolutely chuffed to bits I completed it!
Really starting to find my rhythm and my breathing is more controlled and definitely enjoyed R3 more than R2 😆

Thank you GoGo_JoJo 😁 I found once I relaxed and found my pace I was able to enjoy it. It really feels like a big stepping stone has been accomplished today and much more comfortable than the 20min run at the end of Wk5 👍
Yes I remember feeling the same way! That same process continues to happen as you move through different challenges. You are doing great. Happy running!
As my Italian friends say those shoes are not messy nor dirty, but they are well used and loved.
Great that you’ve started finding your rhythm. Good luck for next week
Yeahhhh!!! It’s great isn’t it Ellie 😀 when are you doing your next run? Mine is on Friday as I’m working for the next two days. Already planning my next route...with Sarah 😂
