So today I ran for 28 minutes and I am very chuffed with myself.
I was trying out a new route though and forgot which way to go which was slightly amusing as I ran back and forth trying to remember!
Well into my run I realised that my right shoe wasn't tied tightly enough. Part of me wanted to fix it but as I couldn't do it without stopping... I wasn't gonna do it. The upshot was my right knee and hip complained but I just focused on trying to land my foot properly and get the job done.
Another lesson learned... tie em.. check em! ππ

Puts me in mind of my new word patience. Thoughtful patient relaxed preparation,I am lucky l have the time , unlike some busy lives, so I only go to the park when everything is ready,The whole bowl of gruel.πππ
I get as much fun out of my prep as I do of trying out my runs.Cannot contain myself to get back home and post or reply.Think I can give back in appreciation for all I am being given on this jewel in the crown forumπ
Hope your knee and hip niggles are only as a result of all the searching directional turns and they soon turn to giggles.πππ
That's exactly it. I got home from work and dashed up to get ready, whipped everything on and was out the door in a flash. A few more careful minutes would have prevented the loose shoe! π
Check and double bow - good run though πββοΈ, terrible when you have something not quite right on a run, sometimes a welcome distraction and other times a major irritant π
Running back and forth going "Whoops, wrong way" (out loud obviously). Check, done that several times.
Being too stubborn to ever stop to fix something? Check. Ooooo so many times. Mainly to great comedic effect for any witnesses.
I spend more time faffing about with my laces before I head out on a run than anything, so I feel your pain. It baffles me as to how I *still* can't get them right first time so it's wander up and down the hallway until I'm sure they're right?! (I always tie them too tight, I think it must be to do with more flex of the foot than with normal walking and I just can't work out how much to loosen them up by! DOH). Drives me up the wall.
However the important thing here... TWENTY-EIGHT MINUTES!!! Get in. Well done you. Plus you returned with all shoes still on feet
