Did my run tonight and was determined to pick up the pace. I'd felt through week 7 that I wasn't being pushed in the way that W5 and W6 build up and push you over the milestones at the end of the week.
So I put some real effort in. After my last run of course my laces felt too tight and I did adjust them quickly on the warm up walk.
There were a few niggles but I had quite a moment with Fat Boy Slim shouting Right Here, Right Now in my ears and I felt yes, it is about the here and now, the commitment to self. I'm not doing this for anyone else, not family or friends but for me, I'm finally looking after my body, using it in the best way possible and it's rewarding my commitment with effort and results.
I don't deny I pushed pretty hard. I was sweating like a glassblower, but I know I got results. Unfortunately my data looks weird. I'm missing my map so can't really rely on what it says. It seems to think I did 4.4 miles at about 8" 30 average. Which might be true. But it might not... I'm frustrated the data isn't there as normal but I know I really tried. I wanted to pick up my pace and I absolutely did. Whether I can do it again over the weekend... I don't know but I bloody ran and ran and ran for those 28 mins. ππ

Just about to get my calculator out and give you km/ hr pace.
Still flying.
Did my 8.1treating them all as training runs.I am encouraged, afterwards I may have a respectable pace providing I can get this knee to stop objecting, if it does not behave it will be getting its P45πππ
Yes with these two figures you ran 7.04 km in 37.4 minutes.π€
From memory I am using 0. 625 of a mile is a km.I did two other little sums that confirm you are quicker than 10 km/ hr pace, which as you know is 5k in 30 mins. Your probably doing 11. I need to google the conversion imperial to metric π
At 37.4 mins , and if you covered 6.23 km that is 10 km/ hr pace.π
Or if you ran 7 km in 42 mins that is 10km/ hr pace.π
I'm the same, exact figures would be nice I'm sure but let's focus on the fact that you ran for 28 mins straight at a faster pace than your normal one and still managing to complete it in style!
I needed to push myself a bit. Probably won't achieve anything like it on the next one but I wanted to prove to myself I could step it up. π job doneπ
