The dreaded 20 minute run. It's snowing. I've got a bit of a blister. What other excuses could I find? Somehow, without really thinking it through too much, I asked my husband if he would come with me today. He's fit and fast, but keen to help me out. Like a greyhound running with a tortoise. But we went out in the snow, and surprisingly the conditions were good for running. No wind, and the snow wasn't too damp. He walked fast beside me shouting extra encouragement, and much to my surprise I managed the whole 20 minutes. Srava tells me I've set 5 PB's this morning, so all round feeling on top of the world.
I just DID IT! (Wk5/3): The dreaded 20 minute... - Couch to 5K
I just DID IT! (Wk5/3)
Fantastic! Lots of congratulations - running in snow for 20 mins definitely means you’re a real runner!
Brilliant! Doesn't it feel great to crack that 20 mins? I know that for me it was the point that I knew I would crack it and that the uninterrupted runs were actually more enjoyable. Good luck with the rest of the programme.
Great run Maisie, it feels brilliant knowing that you can run for 20 mins! In the snow too. .
Nice to have the encouragement of your hubby too😊xx
Onwards and upwards with confidence.
Well done for getting to the end of W5, well done for getting out there in the snow and very very well done for running for 20mins!
Keep up the good work ... happy running!
Great run ! You did so well to go out in those conditions, brilliant achievement!
Well done you! I was so psyched up before doing that run. I won’t lie, I found it hard but once it was over that was when I knew I was addicted! The feeling of elation and achievement was something I hadn’t experienced for quite some time.
Brilliant achievement getting the 20 minute run done. Super congratulations 👏
