I was so so nervous for this run, as I was never the fittest and completely hated P.E in school, I even used to get exhausted walking up a flight of stairs! All these thoughts kept on going through my mind about failing or hurting my knee, and "maybe I shouldn't do this run". But this morning, I tried to keep a positive mindset before I left, and on I went with my brand new running shoes!
My average pace before was between 10'10''/km and 10'40''/km (this included the brisk walking in the beginning, during and after the runs) - this run I managed an amazing average of 9'37''/km!!! My kilometre 2 split was 8'48" (my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw that, my quickest time ever so far!!!) and I didn't feel like I was going too fast either, maybe it was my new running shoes that gave me some extra stride today😉
I decided to try and push myself on the last 20 seconds and that felt so good to know that I could do that without much strain, but don't worry - I didn't push myself too crazy, just to something I was comfortable with so I could celebrate my victory!! Nearly cried on the way back home, couldn't believe how far I've come so far - my smile made my face hurt!
Onwards and upwards, week 6 next! 😱

I am sure it will be a lot easier now. It sounds like you have reached that point where mentally you suddenly realise you can do it. Once you reach that point it becomes a lot easier.
Keep smiling, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊
Ok good to know, I don’t think my pace will be as fast for the next run as this one because my tracker obviously counts the brisk walking but I do like pushing it at the end because I actually found it helped me - my heart rate was a bit higher on average than usual but hopefully that goes down as I continue doing the faster running at the end 😂
Well done!! It's such an awesome feeling. When I completed that run last Wednesday it gave me such a confidence boost.
Be proud of how far you have come, this definitely proves you are able to tackle the rest. Just look at the progress you have made in 5 weeks - amazing!
