I did my first run post-graduation today and decided to do 5k again but without the app, I'd started to find Michael's time-prompts a bit of a distraction by the end of C25k, so this run just had the Fitbit app man telling me the m/km.
It felt odd at first running 'solo' without the structure of the C25k app but I liked it and felt more focussed on the actual run. Once again I aimed to go slow and ended up faster - it seems to be a weird reverse-psychology thing with me!
So today marked my first sub-30-minute 5k and I'm really pleased with my progress, however I know I need to learn to slow down if I want to run longer distances so my job now is to work on pacing myself, even though it feels natural to go at this pace.

I ditched him once the runs got continuous. It was too hard juggling starting the run on my watch AFTER the warmup walk but having to pause MJ then start him again once the watch was set. I do miss him saying: you can do this, keep going, youre doing really well, and ringing his bell halfway. I listen to the run first, then go and do it.
I love your trainers ! So bright and new . I have some like that and every time it’s wet or snowy or looks like rain I wear my old black ones, LOL. Am I a wimp?
What a fabulous post grad run 😁I use my Fitbit to tell me how far I've run or just sometimes go a known route if I am stuck for time so I run from and to me warm up walking distance from home.
