Oh Polly. 🙁 These things are sent to try us. Deep Heat and rest for that poor back! Do see your GP of course, if it doesn't get better with rest.

You are not alone my love. I developed a hip "niggle" right after graduation. After weeks of less running, targeted stretching and exercises, it got better. Then I pulled a hamstring and caught a virus and haven't been able to run at all for 8 days. Pffffft! FFS! Some days I feel totally down about it (like today), others I just think I have to be patient and know that I will run again. Most of the time I fluctuate between despair and rage. (Which makes me a fun gal to live with, Mr Runs has noted!)

Winter is hard on us runners, but we are made of tough stuff, right?!

Take care. x

That could happen to anyone, not your fault.

Once back to your good old self, try and look up 'plank exercises', which would most definitely improve on your core strength, and help with running as well as injuries you've described.

Good luck!

O flip! Sounds like you need to go to bed and stay there for a complete rest 🙂

You are not...you’ve got cold...that does not interfere with your stamina & the Kms you’ve put in....blow your nose, cough up & get out there, as soon as your back feels ok......but even if you only run for 10/15 mins??!! Come on lady, I know you’re no quitter x

No I’m not...life and backache just getting in the way, am already thinking will go for a trial tomorrow after work as early finish on a Friday. I won’t quit, if it was just the cold that would not be an issue but walking hurts this week!! 🤣🤣
