Evening all. I have not been able to run for the last couple of weeks or so, due to what I (and the physio) thinks is a strained nerve. I get pain moving all over my leg from the back of the thigh down to my ankle and although it's not agony, it's enough to make running a no-no.
I graduated a month or so ago and didn't go mad - stuck to 30 mins 3 days a week - so it's galling that after many, many weeks of training I'm off the road and can't see when I'm going to get back - leg is not improving at all from one day to the next.
So, finally to my point, then: anyone been through something similar and can help me stay positive? Feeling right brassed off about it.
Ta, in advance.

Ouch... I had a trapped sciatic nerve...( not running related) ( Piriformis muscle next to it compressed too). Agony... 7 weeks..no sleep, sitting agony and could not run....Physio and exercises... ( I can give you links)... I ended up repeating five weeks of C25K... just to get back gently...then moved on a little faster... and got back to 10 K, last weekend and began my HM training on Monday
The treatment helped.. and the NHS exercises almost matched the ones given by my Physio.. but a link I had from Rignold was the best thing... and after the exercise he sent to me..I had the first decent night's sleep in five weeks! I can PM the link if you wish
It was a question of being patient though and being older when I started back, I was very cautious
