Hi, I went to look at new trainers today and have been offered gait analysis and also moulded insoles, has anyone had these moulded insoles is there a real benefit?

Gait analysis
If you had gait analysis and they didn't have the shoes for your gait, they didn't have a good enough selection; I would say try another store. UNLESS you know there is something wrong (e.g. a past leg break which didn't heal well) it is very unlikely you need insoles in the right shoes.
I have also read in the depths of the forum that a certain unnamed store is fond of upselling insoles. My experience of gait analysis was that the store identified 2 or 3 shoes that would be suitable and then helped me decide by reviewing my run style in each of them. Oh and pricing didn't come into it as the ones I chose weren't the most expensive of the three options. I agree with SF to be wary. Certainly get a second opinion you don't want to spend on shoes and insoles and end up doing more damage. Your feet are your body's foundation.
It's their favourite tactic to get another £40 out of you. Just say no (thank you if you are being polite)😀. @Sweatyfaced is correct. If there were no shoes you felt were for you (without insoles as you would not be asking if you thought you needed them) I would try another store. I would take the whole lot back and go somewhere else ... sounds like they are taking the proverbial to me ... as mentioned insoles should really be prescribed properly as well and not just "thrown in for good measure"
I got the inner soles, and though I wasn't sure to start with, now I really like them. I think that they are useful on longer runs, probably not really needed if you're still doing the programme.
