Week 3 done!

My first post but I have been reading all of your posts and they have been fantastically motivating so thank you!

I've never run before (aged 53!) and never been a natural athlete and I am staggered that I have ticked off the first 3 weeks of this programme.

Have had a sneaky peek at week 4 and.....gulp! 5 minutes of running? Seriously? Any tips welcome from those that have been there and done it.

Think of me on Sunday!

Tracey

This forum is fantastic isn't it? Such motivation!

My tip? I was in your shoes last week, wondering how I was going to do it.... but I kept thinking of all the posts I'd read here and so many people just said to trust the programme, and so far it's not let me down, so don't overthink things- just go and enjoy!!

You can do it!!

Don't peek.. tut tut! :)

Trust the programme..have faith in yourself.. look how far you have come already ?

Keep it steady and slow...just relax and enjoy this wonderful journey... and, keep posting , great to give your experience to help newbies as well as reading other posts and getting support :)

I will be out running Sunday..bright and early... we can run together :)

Sorry to contradict but I am a bit of a peeking fan as I like to get past the worrying before I start! But don't peek too soon 😉 or too far ahead. Plus it's horses for courses, depends on what works for you.

Take each run at a time. I had the whole programme printed out and pinned on my fridge. I looked at later weeks with excitement.

The programme probably already has you running more than you realised you could. So you are heading into the unknown. Keep the faith. Each week is a step up, but not too much, that you won't be able to cope.

Not what you're looking for?
