My 14 yr old daughter and I have finished week 3 today. We’re doing the runs first thing and it’s been lovely getting out together. Already planning 30 minute routes to our favourite place for our graduation breakfast! Well done to all those inspiring us at the start that we can do this... 🙌🏻

What lovely things to look forward to. You absolutely can do this and how lovely that you get to run with your daughter. You'll be graduating before you know it! :)

So far, so good and we’ve found our motivation 😋 This is the best time to do it when we’re working/schooling from home and can get up and out there for our morning runs. Well done on your graduation!

I too am running with my daughter who is 19. It’s really nice to have ‘our thing’ especially in these strange times. I do have to motivate her a bit and as she is a nursing student we have to work around her shifts. We are on week 7 which seems a bit unreal as we were gasping round the fields a few weeks ago. All the best for your future runs 😊

That’s exactly it, having something that’s just for us. We’re not even telling our mates that we’re doing it, so it’s our secret lockdown project. We’re motivating each other by not wanting to let the other one down.

Great achievement that you’re at week 7, well done and to your daughter working around shifts and studies 👏🏻We look ahead at the programme with a bit of trepidation but it’s brilliant to be able to share the progress posts with my daughter when she doubts we’ll get there. Week 4 starts tomorrow 🏃‍♀️

Thanks and hope you’re running with your daughter again before too long 🤞🏻

Fantastic. I’m doing this with my 14 yo step daughter and we are in the middle of Week 5. Struggle to get her out occasionally but once we finish it’s amazing to sit and chat about it afterwards.

That’s lovely. Hopefully it’ll be something positive for them to take from this tough time when they’re missing their mates. We have a good chat over our post-run breakfasts about new routes and, inevitably with teenagers, how this challenge becomes an opportunity for online shopping for new stuff!

Definitely online shopping! At the moment she is after a smart watch for the heart rate, new running clothes, and wrap around sunglasses as we keep seeing this ultra amazing guy simply floating along at a rapid run and she convinced it’s his ‘boss sunglasses’ that is doing it!
