Just completed week 3!

I've just ran my last run of week 3 and I'm so scared to do week 4. Sometimes I think I'm going slower than I walk and I know it's better than nothing but it's still so hard. I'm very tired afterwards and I thought that a runners high would have kicked in by now but I don't feel any different, like I said, just tired. Any advice?

Don't be so hard in yourself. It isn't easy but it's meant to challenge us somewhat so we gain strength from each run. My runners high kicked in at about week 4. I run in the morning. I did try an evening run but I felt exhausted too soon. Keep going...you're doing really well 😊

Thank you, hopefully I will feel my endorphins next week. I've heard week 5 is hard so when I complete it I will treat myself and get a Fitbit.

Great plan. I've found Week 6 to be harder than week 5 but we are all so different. I'm sure the endorphins will show up soon 😊

So have I - well this is how it went! run 1 dog running under my feet! (my puppy) ; run 2 hubby phones! - run 3 no probs but ound thst I can run 2mins on second one then my breathing fails! Jo convinced me to keep going!! Am I ready for week 4?

Oh dear ... I wish I could tell you it gets easier but the programme works because there's always another challenge.

You are doing so well to get to W3, don't think too hard about what's coming next just put your running shoes on and do it.

And, slow is good. Better to be slow and finish the run than try to speed up and end up injured and having to stop.

Just think how pleased you'll be when you achieve the next hurdle, it's the feeling of achievement that becomes addictive and drives you on, believe me.

So, keep running slowly, keep posting and reading the posts which are full of advice and encouragement. You can do it!

Good luck and happy running!

Scared! It's only jogging. Not root canal work

Slow is absolutely the best way to tackle it. We don't leave the couch fit as butcher's dogs. We have to work our way to getting fitter as we progress through the programme, which you will if you keep going

I hope you will as it's really good. You just have to get over the hump and then you can begin to enjoy it
