...in the daylight (ish!) - first daylight run for ages!
It felt quite tough - particularly on my breathing - legs felt better than last time though, so I think I was just extra tired on Thursday!
I just tracked the 25 minutes running using Strava today (up to now I've been tracking the whole podcast), and when I got home and looked at it I found out why it was so tough - I was going faster!! I had achieved PB's for 1/2 mile, 1 mile, 2 miles and 1k - average pace of 7.3min/km - and I had run for 2 miles.
Maybe next run I'll just go a little slower...?! [or not - the pace felt fine with my legs!!]

That is my aim - pace felt good for my legs - just my lungs that were complaining a little (but not enough to make me stop, and they found it easier after about 15 minutes!?).
Well done! Maybe you were pushing it a bit too much? Want you graduating without any hiccups, slow and steady, good going! ππ»ππ»ππΌββοΈππ»ππΌββοΈππ»ππ
I also want to graduate without any further hiccups!! I didn't feel that I was going particularly fast and I was consistent throughout the run, so.......I'll just see what happens next run!!
I'm a novice too, just a concerned one! Having breezed through the C25K, I began B210K and unknowingly overdid week 1. Now realise that I err on the side of caution as a result. You will know what's too much or what's not, I'm sure. Just listen to your body. π Happy running ππΌββοΈππ»ππΌββοΈππ»ππ»ππ»
Absolutely! I have only done one of the runs indoors and that was in week 1! It's just that most of the time I am going out after work, so at the moment that is in the dark! Mind you, it's not so bad at this time of year running past everyone's Christmas lights!!
Lol!! I'm not sure that being able to see helped me much - actually the route was quite boring in daylight without the Christmas lights on the houses!! Also it enabled others to see how red my face got as I was running!!!!
Seems like you have got the bug. I can see once you get beyond the plan you will be on the hunt for PB's.
For now as others have said, watch your pace and keep it steady. Though if you are feeling good, and feel like a faster finish once Laura says last minute go for it, no better buzz than finishing strong!
I did a horrendous 10k at the weekend. Two laps with a 100m rise and fall each lap. If it wasn't for the runner beside me I would never had made the hills. Yet still from somewhere, haven't worked out yet, I managed to run the last 500m in fact sprint the last 50m! The runner beside me did the same thing that head to head finish with her was immense.
That said I I was absolutely punctured after the line, but I did make it accross it. You will soon get to feel at what point you can start to raise the pace.
P.S love your ginger and white fella, we have a Jake nearly identical and a ginger Tom and a dainty tortie.
She is supposed to be a senior moggy - but behaves more like a kitten at times!! (unlike her sister, who, while having manic moments, is much more sedate!)
She is hilarious when I get back from a run and am doing some stretches - she always seems to try and help!
I'm happy at the moment just to be able to run non-stop for 25 minutes - something I never thought I'd be able to do!!
