Sorry I've not been around for a while. I've been busy trying to hit my target of 50 miles to run in May for Macmillan. Well news just in, I have beat my target by finishing today with a 10K making a total of 56.5 miles run over May. I was a bit gutted because I had a flu bug which knocked me out for a week. I would have done over 70 miles had this not stopped me.
I raised over £2000 for Macmillan and I Braved the Shave too last week. It's been crazy.
The other good news is that I have been given the go ahead for breast reconstruction surgery. This will take place towards the end of the year and I have a lot to thank running for with my weight loss and getting fit enough to be in a position where I can have this surgery.
I will post a blog link when I have written the full story of the last month. It's been amazing and I feel so happy right now!

That's timely Elsie, I was going to post a message in a bottle thread to absent friends today. Might still do it tonight. Have been wondering how you were. Fantastic news that the OP can go ahead. Well done losing that weight and well done getting that milage in. I didn't realise at first that all 4 photos were the same person!
Bless you Elsie, this is totally amazing, what a total inspiration you are to us all !
Congratulations on your weight loss, you must be so happy that you can now have the reconstructive surgery, and massive respect to you for beating the mileage.
