Week 5 Run 1 I giggled!!!

Wow! I did it tonight at the same time, same place as my very first run (in my own field in case I collapsed and needed resuscitation or a blood transfusion!). The joy of seeing how far I'd come in such a short space of time made me actually Laugh Out Loud as Laura (I don't even hate her now) said, "Thats it!". It's not all been so joyful at all, sometimes I've cried, but carried on regardless. My knees hurt so much, but got better just in time for my ankles to hurt. All good now though, minimal aches n pains as I kept with the programme  repeated Wk3 R3 once, as I was really scared, but I just slowed my pace and carried on.

Not blowing my own trumpet, just want to encourage those of you starting out.

Just a warning - it's so addictive!

Thanks to all of you who have helped me along this far. I'm sure I'll need you lots more before graduation.

Now to chill 🙂

Only the very first run and then tonight as hubby was out and it meant dog could come with me. Usually it's in the park, nature reserve, canal bank or pavement. I like to mix it up.

Well done Caitlin! I hope you had a glass of something nice and cold and bubbly to celebrate.

I am two runs behind you so it's great for me to see you achieving that goal!

Hi Katie, isn't it exciting? I did have a pint of sparkling water to celebrate. Learned my lesson on my last run. Had a small glass of Sauvignon, as my run ended at a pub on the canal. Big mistake! It was like the worst hangover ever before I'd even finished the glass. Lasted all evening too. However, not running tonight 🍸🍸🍸🍸 x
