thank you @jt24 for mentioning endomondo in a comment on my phone dependency post! I have now ditched myrun app I was using as endomondo gives me more info. I used the stop watch on my watch to run and endomondo to track the run and this morning did 5.38km in 36 minutes ( ran through cool down and then on to next gateway). With the splits on endomondo I can see I did 5k in 33.5 minutes which might just give me the confidence to attempt a parkrun pretty soon!
Wk9 r1 done and endomondo!: thank you @jt24 for... - Couch to 5K
Wk9 r1 done and endomondo!
That is a good time for 5k , go try parkrun it really is a great event and lots of friendly like minded peeps 😊
thanks, I am just a bit of a wuss about joining in things! I know when I can make myself go I'll probably love it but its that first step... I really should have no excuses either because although my closest parkrun in Dundee is pretty hilly I also have the option of Perth which is really flat and probably the easiest one to start with...
I was like that at first, kept putting it off , finally ended up going to one on Christmas day, had the best time ever 😊
Perth sounds a good one to ease yourself in and then when need a challenge Dundee ☺
Go on give ita go 😊
Parkruns are great! All sorts of people doing all sorts of times. I'm not as fast as you but I feel pretty comfortable at Parkrun and there are people who finish after me. The atmosphere is lovely, the people encouraging, don't put it off any longer. Just go and enjoy the experience 😊
Brilliant - well done!
