Hi everyone...

Im about to go and try run out today for a change (It will be my second attempt for outside running - first one was weeks ago, ice cold wind, terrible feeling and i did only 3min :-/ ).

Do u have any tips either for ''first running out'' or W6R1?

MoNi :-)

Hi MoNi, expect outside running to be harder to begin with. Treadmills are notorious for overestimating your speed etc so ignore your pace and just run comfortably. Enjoy the fresh air and watch the scenery as you run.

Have fun.

Just take it very gently, especially on the first two running stints. I went too fast on the 8 minute stint and really struggled on the last 5 minute run.

Try to avoid anything resembling a hill. Fighting gravity isn't fun! (at least not yet)

Go slowly and then slow down some more. Week 6 can catch most out nevermind a runner new to the outdoors.

Good luck.

I try to run on fields if possible to avoid ankle/ joint pain. Just trust the plan, you can do it!
