Well everyone. You were right about that one!! There are toxic gremlins hiding in this run. They were out to get me today, but I was ready for them and I broke them and 4K as well (just) for the very first time too. π

Phew, it was hard-going. Knew it was going to be after reading the posts and warnings about it. Can see how it could catch folk out, but I went slow and think thatβs what saved me. Have since walked the dog and been to Pilates. Must be mad! π

I found it really hard this morning. I started to realise what the phrase 'toxic ten' was all about!!
I have done week 5 run 2 but not sure I can cope with the next run, 20mins continuously after just 8 (and that was hard going) feels like a big jump. How did you cope with it?
Hi Evol. It felt like a huge jump for me too, but you can totally do it as you e built up the stamina. This run is about training your mind to get used to the longer wrong (your body can do it after all). Youβve got this!
It helps to think of it this way - W5R2 is two 8 minute runs, totalling 16 minutes with a 5 minute fast walk in between. W5R3's run is only 4 minutes longer without a run in the middle and it feels fine. Mind over matter. You'll be fine π
4K! FANTASTIC!
Well done ! Reaching 4K on Week 6 is an achievement in itself...gremlins regularly pop up and say hi, they then disappear just as quickly !
