Good morning: Slightly later run this morning as I am on half term break so donβt need to go out so 5.30!
I know this run is consolidation and as pointed out yesterday is a longer overall time out as a whole. I completed the run which Iβm very pleased about. However, it was quite tough. I found that on the walking parts, I really start to overheat and feel hot. I did peel off a layer which is brave for me as Iβm a bit self conscious with the tight running gear.
Anyway, overall Iβm pleased with the run and Iβm onto R2 later this week. ππ»ππ»ββοΈππ»π

The return to intervals for those first two runs of week 6 is horrible! Many post about how hard they find them! I think it is also about the mental battle at this stage of the programme too. Dig deep, believe in yourself and you will find it all starts to feel better again as you move back to the blocks of longer running. Good luck!π
Thank Sandra. Iβm definitely going to keep going. Iβm determined to graduate however long it takes. It is difficult to believe in myself but Iβve completed all the runs so far so Iβll keep on going π
Love the positive outlook. I need to be more confident in my ability πͺπ»
Well done for completing the run, I'd also read quite a bit about the return to intervals being hard. Believe it or not, this was probably my favourite run so far. I know you can do this though And if you thought W5R3 felt good, W6R3 feels amazing
I did W6R1 yesterday and I also struggled, I was initially pretty worried that I was finding 5 minutes tough again after running for 20 but I believe what happened was I got over confident seeing the intervals and pushed myself too fast in the first 5 minutes which made it tough.
I think run 2 Iβll be better able to pace myself and hopefully find it easier, good luck with run 2!
I thought I was going a slow pace but found it so hot in the intervals. I completed it so thatβs the main thing. See how I get in with run2 on Thursday. Good luck with your run2 π
