WK4 Run 3 Done

Well just finished run 3 of week 4, I can't believe I'll be running 20 minutes none stop this time next week, the last 5 minute run seemed hard going. Was this feeling unique to me, did anyone else think 20 minutes none stop seemed impossible after the end of week 4?

Hi I completed w4 on Friday and to be honest found it tough. I think I was so wound up about w5 r3 I didn't think about how hard w4 might be. I really struggled. However this morning I completed w5 r1 and it was too bad. Laura stopped during first 5 min run and I didn't realise so keep running. Not sure how long for but was longer than I meant to and I did complete the session. I did slow down when I was struggling. W4 was much harder in all honesty. Hope that helps x

Ta Maggie

I've had the app stop on me in previous weeks, its really annoying when that happens. You say wk5 r1 was too bad, did you mean wasn't too bad?

Sorry I did mean wasn't too bad Compared to last week. I am aware it was only run 1 but I'm glad it's out the way as last week I did struggle xx

Hi Hussainbolts, I'm at the exact same stage as you. Just looked up what Week5 has in store and I'm panicking too.....

yes despite the fact I've done 5k in 28m55s, for some strange reason running 20 minutes without stopping seems rather daunting right now. Still, I'll give it my best shot next Sunday.

I think you'll find EVERYONE is amazed that they'll be running for 20minutes in a weeks time, when they get to the end of w4! Don't worry: if you've managed w4 you're absolutely ready for w5. :)

Thank you and mum's are always right, so with that in mind I'll approach it in a confident manner. Well I sound positive now, just need to go and do it lol.

Go slowly! Going nice and steady buys time. Your breathing will be so much calmer, you'll feel much more Zen, hence less stressed. Heck, you might even find time to enjoy it as you're not dying of exhaustion

It's all good. Go out there and really set out to enjoy it. There's no need to dread it. It's a blast!

I just looked back on my running diary and for that run I drew a smiley face, so that's all right then. You're home and dry.

Don't worry about w5r3, just take it all as it comes, Laura has trained you for this! Stay calm and go slow and you'll surprise yourself :D
