Wow - I can run for 5 minutes! At the beginning of the week I thought no way - after 4 minutes I was beetroot red, pouring with sweat and my legs felt soooo,, heavy. But I did it. By run 3, (in the pouring rain), I still felt tired but realised that my skin was still the same colour and my legs weren't waiting for Laura to say stop - you can walk now. So I am moving on to Wk5 whatever it may bring, I haven't looked yet! Probably because I'm sure someone mentioned 8 minutes! :-). Let's see...

There is a lot to be said about week 5 and lots of different accounts of how people have got through it. It will be what it will be but sooner or later you'll be on the other side of it and you will feel like a runner then. 6,7,8 & 9 then look more manageable.

I will have a look at Week 5 posts and get some tips before I go. I love the support we get on here. So even when you're out running on your own, you know that lots of others are 'with you'. First one tomorrow :-)/

I'm sure you'll love the sense of achievement that week 5 brings, and its a kind of turning point. Good luck and enjoy!

Loved reading this tonight. I felt a bit stuck on week 4. I've done 5 week 4 runs but I am only counting three of the runs. It was only yesterday that I would say I felt comfortable ie that I could have another minute.

So technically I'm now ready to move to week 5 but I'm going to wait and do another week 4 run.........

I did wonder about doing another wk 4 run before starting 5 but if you look at it the first run of wk 5 isn't too much more. However do what feels best for you. Slow and steady means you will go further. Good luck

How did it go?

Amazingly I did it and found that the last 5 minutes was easier than the first! Going for R2 today - 8 minutes. Just telling myself that it's a 3 minute and a 5 minute without the walk inbetween and I can do both of those. I'll let you know :-)
