Wow - I can run for 5 minutes! At the beginning of the week I thought no way - after 4 minutes I was beetroot red, pouring with sweat and my legs felt soooo,, heavy. But I did it. By run 3, (in the pouring rain), I still felt tired but realised that my skin was still the same colour and my legs weren't waiting for Laura to say stop - you can walk now. So I am moving on to Wk5 whatever it may bring, I haven't looked yet! Probably because I'm sure someone mentioned 8 minutes! :-). Let's see...
Wk4 -3 runs done!: Wow - I can run for 5 minutes... - Couch to 5K
Wk4 -3 runs done!
There is a lot to be said about week 5 and lots of different accounts of how people have got through it. It will be what it will be but sooner or later you'll be on the other side of it and you will feel like a runner then. 6,7,8 & 9 then look more manageable.
I'm sure you'll love the sense of achievement that week 5 brings, and its a kind of turning point. Good luck and enjoy!
I really enjoyed week 5. By the end of it you will feel a massive sense of achievement! Go for it!
Well done you, sounds like you're doing great! The programme is amazing how it builds you up, isn't it?! Trust it - it has prepared you, so you are absolutely ready for week 5!
Go for it! X
Loved reading this tonight. I felt a bit stuck on week 4. I've done 5 week 4 runs but I am only counting three of the runs. It was only yesterday that I would say I felt comfortable ie that I could have another minute.
So technically I'm now ready to move to week 5 but I'm going to wait and do another week 4 run.........
I thought W5 was the make or break week, but you *will* surprise yourself how well you make it
I have looked at It now and looking forward to giving It a go. First today 😊
Well done Anne. Go with confidence into W5 and surprise yourself.
Thank you 😊
