Wk 8 run1 yesterday but my lace came undone and I had to stop to do it up. Carried on but gave up at 16minutes or so. Too hot, too tired, too 'head not in the right place'.
My lovely husband bought me a Garmin for my birthday when I was having radiotherapy and I was convinced that what with the vile surgery and treatment I'd never run again. Lovely son came with me for a few walks in the summer so that he could show me how to work it.
So, set off with it on but kept glancing at it to see what time I was doing. Probably not a good idea as maybe I was making myself run too fast and so far I've been blissfully unaware of my speed whilst redoing C25K. And it was really muggy here yesterday. Plus I was seeing the oncologist today so perhaps that wrong-footed me.
Have been struggling to get out 3x wkly at the moment- (busy, busy) which won't help with the stamina thing. Never mind, onwards and upwards! Meanwhile I'm leaving the Garmin behind until I complete C25K again! Will take a leaf out of Dan's post this week about running slooooooooowwwwwly. Thanks, Dan; a timely (chortle!) reminder!
