Here I am sporting my orange headband, Leon wouldn't let me wear my matching wristbands
Beat my PB and did it in 32.26
Mild hangover soon went
Spotted one other man with a sweatband ( blue), he also had a large beard
Took Leon to the special running shop to get him some decent shoes, bit worried about his growing limbs, and he has ended up with exactly the same as mine ( Brooks)
Husband and daughter came and waved and cheered us on and said nice things
Now enjoying a restorative glass of red and some Made in Chelsea ( I know its sooo bad but its sooo good )
Have fun everyone

Trying to find something equally witty to say, but failing miserably. Well done on the PB - doesn't it feel good?
My birthday today so maybe a glass or two myself later on. Birthday tea? Home made cheesy nachos. Not very sophisticated, but I'm not a sophisticated guy. Come to think of it, your headband wouldn't look out of place among a plate of cheesy nachos ... might be a bit chewy though
Happy Birthday Malcy...hope you've had a good one??
Yum...cheesy nachos sounds perfecto, sophistication is boring!
I took out my cheesy headband for a 10k this morning, loved it. I don't feel like work tomorrow, I'd rather run every day and eat cheesy nachos with yummy mummy pals sporting my orange headband ( and matching wristbands)
I once bought a lovely orange cotton T shirt with white logo on it. It was smart (must have had a few glasses of vino when I bought it). Orange does not go well with my puce rose red colour I go during and after a run.
Loving the pic and the headband looks good on you, was that the beginning, middle or end of your run!?!
Thankyou Oldgirl...I have just bought an orange dress for a wedding and husband pointed out that my complexion looked a bit washed out- its one of those difficult colours
The pic was taken about two thirds in, the first half is all uphill and really hard, and the second half is all downhill and where Pete took this pic of me
Do you think an orange headband makes you go faster??
I did my first Parkrun after a half bottle of red the night before in 35.41. The next time thought I'd do better without the wine and only did it in 36.31...back to the red wine me thinks or....maybe an orange headband is what I need
Both... Orange headband for speed and a bit of random ,and a mild hangover ( depending on your tolerance) to give you 'an edge', and you're sorted. Red wine is definitely the runners tipple!
