My first parkrun

Set off with a little trepidation for my first Parkrun (Newark), daughter number 1 joined me. It was hard work but fun and very friendly. My time was 39.15 so not going to break many records but the only way is up! Daughter did well, finishing a bit ahead of me. The course is fairly flat, looping the football pitches and a little bit beside the river where you go down a slope and then up some well spaced out steps. Finished off with a hot chocolate from the cafe. We are both looking forward to next week!

I did my first yesterday too, tho I chose one all on paths - really don't like 'off roading'!

I would love to do it with my daughter - will have to see if I can persuade her when she's home for the Christmas break

Wish I'd thought of hot choc afterwards - sounds like a great idea.

Sounds like a plan jeleybelly! Daughter's seem to be willing to accompany their mums to most things if hot chocolate is on offer!
