Trying to get up before the sun!!

Not a morning person but trying to run at the moment before it's really hot. Aimed for a 7am run, but woke up at 8.30. Oh well, the sun not too hot wore shorts but it was hot enough. Lots of runners out in leggings, long sleeved shirts, why are they not hot?? The first ten minutes were not smooth, then once again I was smiling and in a lovely rhythm. The only annoying thing was my arm holder rubbing a bit on my arm, think I need a different one. My knee was a bit stiff again but hey I did it, only one more run of week 7. Hope everyone else is enjoying their runs.

:)

I'm glad I'm not the only one in shorts (&vest) when every other runner is dressed up for winter, I like to think its because I'm working harder than them, hahahahahahahahahaha!

I ran past someone today who had a hoodie, jogging bottoms, wooly hat and wooly gloves on, and there was me in my running shorts and t shirt, ok it is not hot here today bu it was not that cold either.

Well done for getting so far, good luck for week 8

Thanks alcopop, I'll need to invest (oh dear, no pun intended) in some running vests if this weather continues and shock horror if we have a summer!!!

:)

I've been wearing a tracksuit on my runs as I live at the top of a valley and it can be quite cold sometimes, even in summer (or what passes for it). I tend to wake up very early in the mornings so I generally try to get out of bed on my running days and enjoy it. I rarely meet anyone at that time of morning (6a.m. onwards) and it gives me a lovely chance to enjoy the peace and quiet. If I see anyone around I generally try to take a detour as this is time to clear my head, not stop for chats and unsolicited 'advice'. Good luck with your own runs.

Hi Fitmo, good point, I'm running round a park so changes in temp doesn't differ much. It's light at 4am now, so maybe I could manage 6 or 6.30! Yes I like to run alone and not be interrupted, even people asking for directions throws me. Good luck with your runs as well.
