So today I graduated after 13.5 weeks, running slower than I usually walk. My graduation run wasn't at all what I expected. It was a bit of a farce really.
Firstly I found that my new kit wasn't very generously sized. It took me a while to squeeze my already hot and sweaty self in to it.
Secondly I found that my phone had no charge. After watching it charge to about 20 % I set out with my phone in my new arm band. I walked for 5 minutes and then started to run. After a bit of running the volume on the podcast became too high and I had to stop and sort it out. So I started over and after a bit of running my phone started to make calls so I had to stop and sort it out. I started over again and after a bit of running the phone jumped ahead in the podcast and became deafeningly loud again. I walked home and got my old bum bag for my phone and started all over again.
I was sulking at this point. I had already walked and run 2.5 k. It was still hot and I was starving. I had thought my graduation run would be my fastest yet but I knew I wasn't going to be able to do speed after all that palaver. I just wanted to get it done so I plodded through.
There's always the next run

No trumpet either but I think someone here (MarkyD?) has a vuvuzela. Congratulations on your graduation run, especially for seeing it through to the end in spite of everything. Nice badge - suits you!
Toot toot toot toot toooooooooooooooooooooooooooot. I played you a triumphant tune on the kazoo! What a palaver. I would have gone nuts!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's so ruddy annoying. Technology does choose its time to go bandy! Still, you saw it through against all odds, so you deserve a badge for sheer persistence in the face of farce.
Well done. I bet you feel like a bit of a rest after that stress. And breathe .....
Wow... Well done that sounds very tough but you did it.. If I had to stop my run for any reason that would be it.... The system will just switch off until another day.. Congratulations again.
Full marks for perseverance, and congratulations!!! You did it, and that's all that matters! Speed, clothing, phones and music can all be sorted out later! Be very proud of yourself, and look at just how far you've come! My graduation run was a stinker; I was overtired, had been drinking excessively the night before and had the pace of a slug, but I did it, and you have done it! Brilliant news, and many congratulations!
