Stepping stones rocks!!

Well- the lad and I did stepping stones today... I was a bit apprehensive due to the speed, but it was amazing. Laura was telling instructions in my ear and because I was focussing on running to the beat I didn't really notice I was going faster. The music was great and we managed 4.73k... Not quite 5 in the half hour but we will get there!!

Pic is of us post run and my poor lad is exhausted as his legs are shorter than mine, he did so well!! For those that read Tuesdays blog- I ditched the support knickers, much better without!!!

So I would really recommend this after graduating. I really need a Laura for 10k, has anyone got any suggestions, perhaps with better music although this one was definitely better!

Happy running everyone! Julia x

Well done! I enjoy stepping stones, but nearly killed myself with Stamina today, far too hot at lunchtime!

Looking at your pic cannot see any need for support knickers! Your little one did really well, great that he's out there with you - playing tag on the way home from playschool with my 3 year old grandson doesn't really help in my running efforts, but his giggles cheered me up when my legs were so tired today! :-)

Well done you... How was Stamina??I have lost about 4 pounds so bum not quite so wobbly but it will never be small!!!sounds like you have so much fun with your grandson. I'm going to try stamina next but I need to prepare myself I think!! X

Brilliant. Wish I could get my 13 year old son to run with me. So nice that your son is doing this with you. I must say you look good in the running tights and as Poppy2010 says I don't think you need support knickers anyway! Are you trying to tell us you went commando today then? Lol. Claire. X

Hi Claire... Ha ha no not commando, I think that's one step too far for me!!! Thank you, it is lovely running with him, I got him hooked by the competitive thing by beating our distance on the Nike app, and I said I'd give him some money towards a Garmin for doing his sats!!

Love the running gear :-)

I agree, come on Laura we need a 10K!!! You have a real support team as well, he did well keeping up with you and deserves a graduation badge himself.

HHappy days :-)

Thanks!! My nod to the 80's!! He is so much faster than me that's what keeps me going! We did the 5k today finally but in 32 mins... I am SO determined to take it to the 30 ( v competitive streak!). I so need something full on to get me to 10k... Come on Laura! Perhaps send her another love letter?!!! Julia

Great headband - very 80s! ;-) I think the 5k+ podcasts are great too. Moving the focus away from just time to how quickly one should run and at what pace. Good luck with the other podcasts. :)

Thank you Landesman! Loved reading your blog today! Yes the 80's headband is just the start.. Once I've lost the weight and I'm more confidant I'm going for the full on 'Fame' look!!flourescent Lycra and legwarmers etc with a bit of flash dance thrown in :)
