Morning. Out early for my 8 km run. 10 degrees but pretty windy and chilly on long straight, glad I had the wind proof jacket on. First 3 km was Jeffing 4 min run and 1 min walk and the last 5 km just decided to run , pretty damp and rain decided to come on last 1 km(typical). My 8 km time was 1 hour 07 mins . Just about the same pace as last week 8.21 m/k. I’m not the quickest but it’s comfortable , and cadence 158. I am trying to keep feet closer to the ground like Japanese slow running as not to pound.
Mr D did a 5 km after been on the IC for 4 weeks with sore knee and back. He’s not one for taking it easy just doing a 2 km to break in . His time was 32:58. He felt sick when he got back and his legs felt like lead, and his water intake a problem but working on it.
Have a good Sunday and happy running😊

Thought I'd pop across and read about your rainy run 😊 Your timings are very similar to mine.I find the Japanese running thing is something I sort of forgot about for ages but it makes hills a lot easier to conquer.
I hope Mr D has recovered, that doesn't sound a fun way to end a run.
Thanks Mormor. Well done also on your run also. Yes I like early as nobody about and can run on roads not really much traffic and dodging in and out people.
Well done! And my Jeffing ratio is close to yours, I do 4min30 / 0min30. I am not a fan of the short ratios like 30 seconds / 30 seconds. Glad to read there are others like me!
As for your pace: you're faster than me. So to me you are FAST! Itcs all about perception 😉
Thank you Evy. I enjoyed the ratio I did but after awhile was listening to music and couldn’t hear my watch when to walk or run so decided to run the last 5 km. back to walking again for me rest of week.
