Run no 1

Started with lunges and squats at home before heading out for 5 min warm up walk. 2.5k done in 14.43min my fastest km times 5.4 as I started too fast but next km only slowed to 6.05 this will not be continuing for longer runs. Looked so pretty with pink sky and crunchy leaves but boy was it cold on the hands even with my new running gloves. Temp was between 2 and 3 deg. This may be my last morning run. Next run either thur afternoon or friday morn as am leading a group on a long walk on Wednesday. Happy running people. Off for porridge and hot shower. Go go go, we can do it - but slower.

Thank you, I really will slow down, that is not sustainable. As I was running I was repeating slow down, slow down but was getting such a kick from going fast. Promise I wont do it again. Walk is as much long time rather than distance due to the walkers who will be on it but it's in a lovely location with cake stop at end 😉

Funny how you’re now thinking of it as “only” 2.5K so end up going faster😂😂

Brilliant run Grannytobe and yes it's a cold one this morning I'm just about to go out the door and it's about 3-4 degrees. Won't be long in warning up though. Enjoy the rest of your day 😊

Thank you, this is such an adventure. I've said for years "I dont do running " guess I have to stop saying that. My action high always came from skiing, now I can get it any time of the year. A bit addictive. Take care and have a great day

Way to go you!! 🙌🏽 Well done! 🤩

My hands were a bit nippy this morning too, but I didn’t wear my gloves. The rest of the body was fine! I find when you get home, the house feels like an oven too 😂!❤️

Thank you, loving this journey. This could save a fortune on heating bills over the winter. It's the first day I've not been chilled after a run.

Hi team!! I just completed my first run (I'm an evening person) and as I decided to start with the long run it was hard and much slower than yours, almost 50 min! But it feels great now that it's done :) I also found quite hard to be running for distance, I'm too used to running based on time so I kept making calculations in my head to find out how long I had been running and how long I had left! The good thing is that the maths kept me busy all the way :)

Excellent work - how did you end up running 50 mins thought it was only a 35 min run this week - you are obviously racing us to the 60min finish line😉
