Started with lunges and squats at home before heading out for 5 min warm up walk. 2.5k done in 14.43min my fastest km times 5.4 as I started too fast but next km only slowed to 6.05 this will not be continuing for longer runs. Looked so pretty with pink sky and crunchy leaves but boy was it cold on the hands even with my new running gloves. Temp was between 2 and 3 deg. This may be my last morning run. Next run either thur afternoon or friday morn as am leading a group on a long walk on Wednesday. Happy running people. Off for porridge and hot shower. Go go go, we can do it - but slower.
Run no 1: Started with lunges and squats at... - Bridge to 10K
Run no 1
Well done.. congratulations on the 1k PB... what a statement in your first one.
Woah, you’re fast Grannytobe!! That’s amazing. Good feeling getting making a start. Enjoy your long walk Wednesday 😀
Thank you, I really will slow down, that is not sustainable. As I was running I was repeating slow down, slow down but was getting such a kick from going fast. Promise I wont do it again. Walk is as much long time rather than distance due to the walkers who will be on it but it's in a lovely location with cake stop at end 😉
Brilliant run Grannytobe and yes it's a cold one this morning I'm just about to go out the door and it's about 3-4 degrees. Won't be long in warning up though. Enjoy the rest of your day 😊
Almost poetic, I could feel the air and see the crab apples as i read, what a lovely inspiring post and what a speed, have fun and enjoy your walk tomorrow
Thank you so much. Beautiful here just now, any rain has been at night ant the trees are gorgeous autumn colours. I'll post photo from walk.
Way to go you!! 🙌🏽 Well done! 🤩
My hands were a bit nippy this morning too, but I didn’t wear my gloves. The rest of the body was fine! I find when you get home, the house feels like an oven too 😂!❤️
Hi team!! I just completed my first run (I'm an evening person) and as I decided to start with the long run it was hard and much slower than yours, almost 50 min! But it feels great now that it's done I also found quite hard to be running for distance, I'm too used to running based on time so I kept making calculations in my head to find out how long I had been running and how long I had left! The good thing is that the maths kept me busy all the way
Excellent work - how did you end up running 50 mins thought it was only a 35 min run this week - you are obviously racing us to the 60min finish line😉
