Hi Oldfloss,Love the post for April graduations. So pleased to report that I have run my very first 10k this morning (strangely enough on April Foolβs Day) this will be explained in my post later on the Bridge forum. My time was 1.16.29 pretty chuffed with that. So glad to be part of it all. Thank you to everyone.
Hi I graduated from C25K a fortnight ago and have just run for a fraction over one hour for the first time ever! I've left a post on bridge to 10k describing the run. So please, please can I have my 60min badge. The post is the hare and the snail. Thank you.
shows time, distance and pace for my first ever 1 hour run.
Hi, I seem to be going around in circles here. It's not a C25k graduation badge I need but the 60 add on. I was directed to post here last night. I will post again on the link you kindly provided. Thank you.
Happy belated Easter and birthday wishes. I completed my first 10k this weekend. Still sinking in.... loads of lessons learnt along the way. πββοΈπββοΈ

Hi Oldfloss. After achieving my 60 minute graduation last week, Iβve just completed my first 10k non stop up and down lots of hills. Not concerned about pace but actually ran for 6.5 miles. What a great feeling! π
Hi Oldfloss. After achieving my 60 minute graduation last week, Iβve just completed my first 10k non stop up and down lots of hills. Not concerned about pace but actually ran for 6.5 miles. What a great feeling! Do I get another badge?? π€£π
Hi Oldfloss. Itβs taken me over a year since graduating from C25K to get to 10k but I did it yesterday!! I had three months out last Summer after a fall and injury to my hip and several stop starts due to having to isolate when caring for elderly relatives with COVID-19 but allβs well that ends well. My two uncles aged 90 and 95 defeated all the odds and are now almost fully recovered and I am back to my running and actually enjoying it. About a month ago someone said, forget pace, distance and time and run in a way that makes you feel good and appreciate the scenery. Iβm so lucky running in the New Forest so I took that advice. Iβm not fast and Iβm sure Itβs not a pretty sight but I did it and when I looked at the stats I actually speeded up a little on the way back and that was up hill! So thank you to all those on here that Iβve made virtual friends with, I did it!!
Hi all, completed my FIRST 10k jog today. Seem to have found my sweet spot in slow jogging, very very happy π. Jogging feels very natural and running within myself, no stress or pressure 10.06k in 1hr 56min. Found a new freedom and self reflection π₯³. Please may I have 10k graduation badge - very excited.
Iβm doing the NRC 15k weekly challenge mixing up the distance over 3 sessions, and will continue with this to maintain and improve stamina.
Never dreamt would achieve 10k, seems right time in my life for jogging as never interested or able to run before. Jogging restores self belief and Iβm in awe what the body can do when your mind is free and open to taking up and ENJOYING a new activity. Feeling SUPER FABULOUS today
Hi Oldfloss π I am very pleased to say that today I have completed my first 10k in 1h 6m π I have posted the run in the bridge to 10k page. Got to say Iβm well chuffed π€£π€£Thanks π
Thank you very much π I think a little bit of consolidation running now for a few weeks and try out some different types of running exercises like Fartleking (because I like the name π€£) and intervals just to spice things up a bit and then look at HM ππ»
I ran in the glorious sunshine for 4 miles yesterday, slowly, with a friend and her dog taking in the beautiful day across fields, woods and some lanes too. It came quite naturally to keep going and ran for an hour+. Can I count this run for my Bridge to 10 badge?
I've attached a photo of my Garmin so you can see.
Thank you OldFloss, that'll do nicely!I was wondering if I should try for 10k, as I'm doing a bit more than 4 miles on a good day, and I suppose if you put it like that "nearly there",....... well who knows....!
Totally! I did my first HM at 69!!!..You go for it!
Hi did my first 10K run yesterday in 1hr 14mins. So chuffed as was just planning on exploring my new area where I live and before I knew it Iβd done 10K! Really enjoying ππΌββοΈand seeing everyoneβs comments and tips x
A couple of months ago I joined Bridge to 10k on this forum as encouragement to start running a bit further and I have found pushing towards 10k alot of fun. Today I completed 10k in 1 hour 2 minutes, then went on to finish my run at 10.8km, 1h 7m 40s - pretty chuffed with that.
