A belated Merry Christmas to you Damien and a happy New Year for 2021, there was no virtual parkrun post from you last week, perhaps that was due to the Christmas holidays, however, on Wednesday 23rd December I ran my 41st virtual and 28th (not) parkrun in a time of 37.32, after that slight left leg injury I was almost back to normal.
There are a lot of snow and icy patches about, so for my next virtual parkrun I intend to run it around a disused football pitch this Saturday morning..
Can I please claim my 60 minute badge that I achieved on 18th October π (I've just posted my achievement having finally gotten round to working out how to download my photo from the cloud). Thank you in anticipation.
Iβll carry on with βtimesβ for a while but will soon tackle the distance version of the Magic Plan. Iβm excited for new running goals and all the possibilities that lie ahead π
Happy New Year to the gang π₯³ Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort you put in, day in, day out to create such a fantastic forum. I donβt believe for a minute I would have stuck with C25K without my online crew. And now Iβm hooked!
Congratulations and very well done on your first 60 minute run. I love the photo on your run report. Nice way to kick off the New Year. Well done again.
Hi gang, I ran my first 10k on Boxing Day! Can I update my 60min badge to a 10k badge please? Iβm still mega chuffed about it, but wonβt be repeating it anytime soon due to all the scary ice and snow, doom βοΈβοΈ happy new year all! πππ»ββοΈ
Ran my first 10k on the 2nd Jan! Started the magic plan more than 12 months ago and got to 8k but flu then, and one thing and another since, stopped me following it and I returned to churning out ~5k a few times a week. Saturday just felt right so off I went. 1hr 7mins later 10k in the bag. Can I have a badge please?
Congratulations and very well done. Nice time too for your first 10K. It is a great milestone and a nice way to kick off the New Year. Happy Running for 2021. Shiny new badge for you.
Damien
Hello can I claim my graduation badge please was meant to do 10km and ended up doing 11.5km this morning. Very happy runner π
Hello Damienair. I havenβt been here for a while. However roseabi has told me to come here to ask for my 10k or 60 mins graduate badge to be reinstated please. I used to be known as Peggy 59.Hope your well and keeping safe. I have been posting on Strava but thought I would also drop in here just to see how folks are doing. Happy new year by the way and many thanks. I was also known as Myfi and my last run report here was 9 months ago. Thank you
Well welcome back. This forum is great for keeping me motivated to keep running. Especially now that parkrun has stopped. I need something to keep me going. I'll give you the 10K badge as that is the higher one and you've done 10K.
Happy new year and thank you damienair for the welcome back and thank you for my10k badge. I hope you are staying safe and obviously you are still running well. I have gone to Strava thatβs why I havenβt been over here for a few months. So I shall still be popping in.
Fantastic. Huge congratulations and very well done. I need to start training up myself so as to run 10K again. It is a great distance and really helps with 5K pace too. Nice shiny new badge well earned.
Hi can I have a shiny 60 minute graduation badge please π₯³.
I ran for 60 minutes following JuJuβs magic timed plan, running 8.2 kmβs. Next stop last half of the distance plan to make it to 10 km ππ»ββοΈ
I ran my first 10k yesterday thanks to Juju's amazing Magic Plan after a few attempts over the last 2 years. Would be nice to finally see that badge. Thank you and a great year of running ahead for all!
HiI ran my first 10k on Friday in 1hr 3mins, such a feeling of achievement! I was challenged by my family to enter a half marathon in March which I said I would do if I got to 10k by Christmas so I missed that goal but still feeling proud. Never thought I would be one for running but actually quite enjoyed it. Now to decide what next....
I feel bad I don't post more, though I do lurk, and I would love to have a graduate badge following my first 10k, completed in rather damp Oxford this morning. I'd lost a lot of motivation following the Couch to 5k, but posters here pointed me to the Magic Plan and that plus the Fartlek suggestions here (runnersworld.com/advanced/a... got me through with only a couple of weeks stalled in the middle by a dodgy hip.
Thanks to everyone for the cheerful posts. Now to work out what to do next...it certainly won't be any longer than 10k!
Hi I am delighted to say I have just ran my 1st 10k today after following Jujuβs Magic Plan,so vey chuffed π Can I have my graduation badge please
I completed my first 10K tonight and feel on top of the moon!! It was VERY slow but I couldn't be more proud of myself! Could I please have my badge? x
Hi! I ran 10km just now... Slow, 1hr 21 min 21 sec, with a stop in the middle with a man who wanted to know what length the beach was π Could I have a badge, please?! Thank you!
Very well done. Nothing wrong with that pace, I did my first 10K in a similar time. Congratulations and very well done. Of course you can have a badge.
Hi damienair, can I have my graduate10 badge pls. 10k run in 62 mins... pleased but with speed training I will get faster with time hopefully. Great way to start the day and the weekend π
Could I have my 10k graduate badge please? We were supposed to be travelling around Greece this winter but have ended up locked down in one place, the island of Lefkada. This has meant with little else to do I focused on improving my running after completing C25K last year. There is a lovely lagoon near the main town and I have been working towards running around that. 10 days ago I completed the lagoon loop of 8k in 61 minutes and last Friday I added on a couple of km to make the 10k in 1hour 18. Feeling very pleased with myself!
Well done calicoco. I did the same as you today ran for 60 mins and did 7.47 km. Never thought I could run for that length of time. How far did you run today. ? I am like you working up to the 10 km . Well doneπββοΈ
Well funny enough today was meant to be my 7k run as part of Juju's Magic Plan, but I felt good enough to go for the 60 minutes, and then I felt good enough to go until 8k. So we were on a very similar pace today. Congrats on your run! Such a sense of achievement, isn't it?
Very well done and huge congratulations. Now you have a new badge to wear with pride.
Damien
Hi There - Please can I claim my 10K badge? After graduating C25K in July and taking 2 weeks off for our forever home house move and Christmas then training through snow and ice - I totally surprised myself and did my first 10K run today !! It took me an 1hr 17mns to do but heck I patted myself on the back as the grouse were cheering me on !! Thanks to everyone - this forum has been invaluable in motivating me to get this far. Absolutely addicted to running and loving it no matter what the weather !!!π
Oh congratulations and very well done on your first 10K. You did very well time wise as well. And a huge congratulations too on your recent forever home move. May you have a lifetime of happiness in your new home. New badge for you as a house warming present.
Hi, I have done 2 x over 60 mins now. Only managed 7.8 K but on course for 10K by end Feb if there is enough time in a day! If I get a 60 min badge do I get a different one for 10K?Pete
Very well done Pete. Yes I will give you a 60 minute badge now. Then when you get the 10K done we will replace your 60 minute badge with a Graduate 10 badge. Happy running.
A couple of days late (still in shock!) however I completed the JuJu magic plan on Sunday 31st along with my first 10k in 1:06:33 - can I claim my badge please. Many thanks.
