After work too. Today’s run on our Garmin 10k plan was easy run 4.83 k
While i was packing up my stuff at work it was pouring it down, the car park was filling with water fast, I was vaguely wondering if we’d flood and I’d have to start evacuation procedures and would n ver get home
Willow sent me a text, it’s thundering and lightening and raining, no running today, I answered I’m still going lol
Came home, clouds ⛅️ blew away and sun ☀️ came out, cup of tea and off we went
No sucking sweets in my cupboard so popped in a nicotine lozenge dunno why
We started slow, tried to speed up, couldn’t so just carried on for about 48 minutes, sun shining, pathway glistening, lots of dogs to say hello to and one yappy thing that wouldn’t leave us alone
Getting bored so turned round and went the other way
It’s done, i’m so happy, sticky gunky lozenge gone and large glasses of water drunk
Roll on Tuesday our longer run 😀
Oh and I put a tuna and sweet corn pasta bake in oven before we left, I’ve never made one before and threw it together while getting ready for run but it’s got cheese on top so we will eat it
Have a good week all

You just keep knocking them down! Awesome. Loved the fact that you wanted to go anyway as that is what will get you where you want to go. Good luck on your long run too. Nice and easy paced and you'll get there 😊
I’ve run 8k, but mostly been running two or three 5k per week, Willow runs around 3k and stops,, doing this plan was about slowing down to get the distance and Willow running with me rather than waiting in the car, the shorter runs are fun the longer runs are taking their toll a bit we just plod on slowly and enjoy the music, I had David Bowie today and that was great
We both actually enjoy the running, the plan is 4 times a week too so it’s stretching us a bit
I tried a 4 runs a week plan and it just wiped me out so I dropped back to 3 runs a week and the 4th distance I walked...that made things so much easier and though increasing distance is always a little exhausting it got me through with flying colours.
I loved your comment, "I'm going anyway", bravo, exactly the attitude you need to kick 10K's butt! 👏🙂
It was thanks Maddee, I’m not really into pasta dishes but as we had roast beef Friday and left over roast with new veg Saturday it was either Willow shop while I was at work or pasta bake, he’s been doing something musical all day so pasta it was and i’ve just been in the kitchen eating the leftovers lol
Funnily enough I’m in Scotland so missed the torrential weather down south (unless you count the first 40 miles of our journey). It was glorious here at the weekend but now that the rest of the family have joined us normal service has been resumed (daughter and son in law soaked on their morning run!). I ran yesterday so will walk today to start my end to end challenge. Well done to you for not bowing to the weather!
